Technical job roles in media often involve a set of skills that a lot of people will not have, but also involves a fair bit of creativity too. For example a sound engineer will try and make the sound effects and noises stand out more and fit in with the film which involves a bit of creative but a lot of technical skill too. A lightning technician has to be creative because he has to use lighting to set the mood for a production and to get the best look from it but it requires technical skill to use the lighting equipment. A camera operator requires technical skill to use the camera but creativity to capture the director's vision of what the production will look like and get the best shots possible.
